On Oct. 13, 2022, Toronto Centre convened a meeting of central bank governors and heads of supervision authorities from developing and developed countries. The purpose was to explore how international uniforme setters and national authorities are responding to the impact of climate-related risks on the financial system. This was the third roundtable discussion hosted by Toronto Centre on this important subject.

The community bonds campaign, set to launch officially at the CSI’s 20th anniversary party this Thursday, is open to both organizations and individuals, with a minimum investment of $1,000.

The CFS is also designed to support central banks and supervisory authorities around the globe that have adopted or will adopt risk-based supervision.

Now it is hoping to raise $10-million Sopra new borrowing through community bonds, allowing it to replace the existing mortgages. A community bond is a type of investment that allows groups or individuals to support né-profit or community initiatives while earning interest payments over time.
